  10. Click Done when finished
  11. Click Save changes at the bottom

Your link is updated!

Editing link text

The Link text field controls what guests see in your navigation menu.

Keep it concise. Short labels work best in menus.

Be descriptive. Guests should know what they'll find.

Match your style. Use consistent capitalization with other menu items.

You can change this anytime without affecting where the link goes!

Editing the URL

The Link URL field is the full web address the link points to.

Include https://. Always use the complete URL.

Double-check spelling. A typo here means a broken link.

Test after updating. Make sure the new URL works.

If you change the URL, the link text stays the same unless you also change it!

Showing or hiding links

Even without editing the link itself, you can control whether it appears in your menu:

  1. In the External links section, each link has a checkbox
  2. Check the box to show the link in your menu
  3. Uncheck the box to hide it (but keep it saved)
  4. Click Save changes

This is useful if you want to temporarily hide a link without deleting it!

Canceling edits

If you click Edit but change your mind:

  1. Click Done without making changes
  2. The row closes and your link stays the same
  3. Or just don't click Save changes at the bottom

Changes only take effect when you click Save changes.

Editing multiple links

You can edit multiple links at once:

  1. Click Edit on the first link, make changes, click Done
  2. Click Edit on the next link, make changes, click Done
  3. Repeat for all links you want to change
  4. Click Save changes once at the bottom

This saves you from having to save after each individual edit!

Removing a link

To delete a custom link entirely:

  1. Go to Site settingsMenu tab
  2. Find the link in the External links section
  3. Click Edit on that link
  4. Look for a delete, remove, or trash icon (usually appears when editing)
  5. Click the delete option
  6. The link is removed from the table
  7. Click Save changes

Deleted links are gone permanently! If you might want them back, consider unchecking them instead of deleting.

Reordering links

To change the order of your custom links:

  1. Each link row has a handle icon (horizontal lines) on the left
  2. Click and drag the handle
  3. Drop the link in your desired position
  4. The order in the table matches the order in your menu
  5. Click Save changes

You can reorder without needing to click Edit first!

Common edits

Fixing typos: Click Edit, correct the text, click Done, save.

Updating URLs: If your registry or hotel link changed, update the URL.

Shortening text: Make long link text more concise.

Changing destinations: Point "Hotels" to a different booking page.

Removing outdated links: Delete links that are no longer relevant.

Link visibility in menu

Remember: Just because a link exists in the External links section doesn't mean it shows in your menu!

Checked box = visible in menu

Unchecked box = hidden (but saved)

Always check the checkbox if you want guests to see the link!

Testing your edits

After editing links:

  1. Visit your live wedding website
  2. Check that the link text appears correctly in your menu
  3. Click the link to make sure it goes to the right place
  4. Test on mobile devices too

Verify your changes work before considering the edit complete!

Edit vs. Delete

Edit when: You need to fix something or update information.

Delete when: You no longer need that link at all.

Hide when: You might need the link again later but don't want it showing now.

Hiding (unchecking) is safer than deleting if you're unsure!

Bulk changes

If you need to update many links:

  1. Click Edit on each one, make changes, click Done
  2. All edits stay in "pending" mode
  3. Click Save changes once to apply all changes at once

This is more efficient than saving after each link!

URL format

When editing URLs, make sure they're formatted correctly:

Correct: https://www.example.com/page

Incorrect: www.example.com (missing https://)

Incorrect: example.com (missing https:// and www)

The full URL format prevents broken links!

Special characters in URLs

If your URL has special characters (like ? or & for parameters), that's fine! Just paste the entire URL:

https://www.example.com/page?param=value&other=value

These work perfectly in the Link URL field.

Moving links between sections

Custom links appear in the External links section. You can't move them to the Navigation links section (which shows your pages and sections), but you can control their order within the external links area.

Editing custom links keeps your navigation menu current and accurate as your wedding plans evolve!
