Can I collect meal choices and dietary requirements?
Need to know who wants chicken, who's vegetarian, and who has a nut allergy? Your RSVP form can handle all of that and more.
Short answer: Yes. You can add custom questions to your RSVP form to collect meal preferences, dietary restrictions, allergies, and anything else you need from your guests.
Built-in dietary requirements
WedSites includes a dedicated dietary requirements field that you can enable on your RSVP form. This gives guests a simple way to let you know about any food allergies, intolerances, or dietary needs without you having to set anything up from scratch.
Custom questions for meal choices
Beyond the built-in field, you can create custom RSVP questions to collect exactly what you need. Question types include:
- Multiple choice. Perfect for offering meal options like chicken, fish, or vegetarian.
- Dropdown. Great for a clean list of choices when you have several options.
- Text field. Let guests write in specific requests or details.
- Yes/No. Simple toggle for straightforward questions like "Do you have any allergies?"
Flexible question targeting
You have full control over who sees which questions:
- Per guest or per household. Collect meal choices individually for each guest, or ask a single question for the whole household.
- Event-specific. Only show certain questions for specific events. For example, ask about meal preferences for the reception but not the ceremony.
- Age group targeting. Show different questions based on guest age groups, like offering a kids' menu for children.
Available on Standard and Pro
Custom RSVP questions and the dietary requirements field are available on Standard and Pro plans. You can add as many questions as you need.
Tips
- Use multiple choice or dropdown questions for meal options to make it easy to tally up orders for your caterer.
- Add a text field for allergies so guests can provide specific details you might not have anticipated.
- Export your RSVP responses to CSV to share meal counts and dietary info directly with your caterer.
