How to set it
- Click on the budget item
- Enter the amount in the Estimated cost field (shown with your currency symbol)
- Click Save
How it's used
Your estimated cost:
- Contributes to your total estimated budget
- Is compared against actual costs to show if you're over or under budget
- Appears in the dashboard budget widget and category breakdowns

Research before estimating. Look up average costs for your area to set realistic estimates.
Update as you learn more. As you get quotes from vendors, update your estimates to reflect real numbers.
