How do I format text on my website?
Use the text editor to format your content with bold, italics, links, lists, and more.
Short answer: Click into any text area to access the formatting toolbar with options for bold, italic, links, and lists.
Basic formatting options
When editing text in a paragraph or other section, you'll see a formatting toolbar with:
- Bold (B): Make text stand out
- Italic (I): Add emphasis
- Underline (U): Underline text
- Link: Add clickable links to text
- Lists: Create bulleted or numbered lists
- Alignment: Left, center, or right align text
Adding links to text
- Select the text you want to link
- Click the link icon in the toolbar
- Enter the URL
- Choose whether to open in a new tab
- Click Save or Apply
Creating lists
- Click in your text area
- Click the bullet list or numbered list icon
- Type your first item and press Enter
- Continue adding items
- Press Enter twice to end the list
Line breaks vs paragraphs
- Enter: Creates a new paragraph with spacing
- Shift + Enter: Creates a line break without extra spacing
