Short answer: Yes! All paid plans support custom domains. You purchase a domain from any domain registrar and connect it to your WedSites wedding website.

Your free subdomain

Every WedSites account comes with a free subdomain right out of the box. It looks like this:

yournames.wedsites.com

You can customize the "yournames" part during setup. This works perfectly fine and many couples stick with it. But if you want something more personal, you can use your own domain.

Using a custom domain

If you'd prefer a web address like www.ourawesomewedding.com, here's how it works:

  1. Purchase a domain from any domain registrar (like GoDaddy, Namecheap, Google Domains, or any other provider you prefer).
  2. Update your DNS settings at your registrar to point to WedSites. You'll need to set up an A record and a CNAME record.
  3. Add the domain in your WedSites account settings.
  4. That's it! WedSites handles the rest, including setting up your SSL certificate automatically.

Available on all paid plans

Custom domains are available on any paid plan. Whether you're on Basic, Standard, or Pro, you can connect your own domain name. The domain itself is purchased separately from a registrar, but WedSites doesn't charge extra for using one. Custom domains are not available during the free trial.

SSL certificate included

Every WedSites wedding website gets a free SSL certificate automatically, including custom domains. That means your site will use HTTPS, keeping your visitors' data secure. You don't need to buy or configure an SSL certificate yourself.
