How do I track who opened my emails?

Monitor email engagement to see which guests have opened your save the dates, invitations, and other messages.

Plan requirement: Standard or Pro plan

Short answer: Go to Sending > Tracking to see open rates, click rates, and individual guest activity.

Viewing email tracking

  1. Go to Sending in your dashboard
  2. Click Tracking or Sent emails
  3. View overall statistics and individual recipient activity
  4. See who opened, clicked, or hasn't engaged

What you can track

Open tracking:
- Who opened the email
- When they opened it
- How many times (multiple opens)

Click tracking:
- Who clicked links in the email
- Which links were clicked
- When clicks happened

Delivery status:
- Delivered successfully
- Bounced (bad email address)
- Failed delivery

Understanding the data

  • Opened: Guest viewed the email (not 100% accurate due to email client limitations)
  • Clicked: Guest clicked a link (RSVP button, website link)
  • Not opened: No open recorded (they may have viewed it without loading images)

Using tracking data

  • Follow up with guests who haven't opened
  • Check if RSVP reminders are working
  • Identify bad email addresses (bounces)
  • Gauge engagement with your communications

Tips

  • Open tracking requires images to load (not all clients do this)
  • "Not opened" doesn't always mean unread
  • Focus on bounces to fix bad email addresses
  • Click tracking is more reliable than open tracking
  • Don't obsess over exact numbers
