Deleting a guest
Learn how to permanently remove guests from your list individually or in bulk, and understand what alternatives exist if you're unsure about full deletion.
Sometimes you need to remove a guest from your list. Maybe they were added by mistake, or your plans have changed. Whatever the reason, deleting a guest is straightforward.
How to delete a guest
- Go to Guests in your main navigation
- Click on the guest you want to remove
- Click Delete guest at the bottom of the sidebar
- Confirm when prompted with "Are you sure?"
The guest is permanently removed from your list.
What gets deleted
When you delete a guest, you're removing:
- All their details (name, email, phone, notes, etc.)
- Their RSVP responses and question answers
- Their event attendance records
- Their stationery tracking history
- Their seating assignment
This can't be undone, so make sure you really want to remove them.
Bulk deleting guests
Need to remove several guests at once?
- Select multiple guests using the checkboxes in your guest list
- Click Delete guests
- Confirm when prompted
You'll see a message confirming how many guests were deleted.
Instead of deleting
If you're not sure about removing someone entirely, consider these alternatives:
Set their status to "Not invited." This keeps them on your list but marks them as not currently invited. You can always change it later.
Move them to the B-list. Keep them in the system but mark them as "Hope to invite" rather than removing them completely.
Tips
Be careful with deletion. There's no undo button. If you think you might want to add them back later, consider just changing their status instead.
Check their household first. If this guest is the only person in a household, the household will become empty. You can delete empty households separately.
