Setting up and verifying sender email
Learn how to set up and verify your sender email address so you can send emails to your guests through WedSites.
Before you can send emails to your guests through WedSites, you need to set up and verify your sender email. This is the email address guests will see and reply to.
Plan requirement: Standard or Pro plan
Setting up your email
- Go to Sending in your main navigation
- You'll see the setup page with the message: "Send emails to your guests"
- The description says "Choose the email address you want guests to reply to. Once we verify it, you can start sending."
- Enter your email address in the field
- Click Send verification email
Verifying your email
After clicking send, you'll see the verification page:
- Check your inbox for the verification email
- The message says "We've sent you an email with a verification link and a code. You can either click the link in that email or enter the code below to continue."
- Either click the link in the email, or enter the Verification code in the code field
- Click Verify
Once verified, you're all set to start sending!
Changing your sender email
If you need to change the email address:
- Go to your email settings
- Click Change email address
- Enter the new email
- Go through the verification process again
Resending verification
If you didn't receive the verification email, check your spam folder first. You can request a new verification email from the verification page.
Tips
Use an email you check. Guests might reply to your wedding emails. Pick an address you'll actually monitor.
Verify before your send date. Don't wait until the day you want to send save the dates to set this up. Verify in advance.
Use a personal email. Something like yournames@example.com feels more personal than a random address.
