Making a page private

Restrict an entire page so only guests invited to specific events can access it and see it in navigation.

Want to control who can see certain pages? Making a page private lets you restrict access based on the events guests are invited to. Perfect for event-specific info or sensitive content.

What making a page private does

Hides the page from guests who aren't invited to the specified events.

Removes it from navigation for guests without access.

Protects sensitive content. Share details only with guests attending certain events.

Creates custom experiences. Different events mean different pages.

  2. Find the Pages section

Privacy options

Public: Everyone who visits your site can see it.

All guests: Only people in your guest list (who have RSVP access) can see it.

Specific events: Only guests invited to certain events you select.

Common uses for private pages

Rehearsal dinner page. Share details only with guests invited to the rehearsal.

Welcome party page. Info just for those attending the welcome party.

After-party page. Details for guests invited to continue the celebration.

Ceremony page. Information specific to ceremony guests.

Reception page. Details for reception guests.

Sunday brunch page. Info for guests invited to the post-wedding brunch.

How guests experience private pages

If they have access: The page shows in their navigation and they can visit it normally.

If they don't have access: The page doesn't appear in navigation. If they try to visit the URL directly, they'll see an error or be redirected.

It's seamless for guests with access, and invisible to everyone else.

How it works

Private pages are tied to your events:

  1. Create events in your event management (like "Ceremony", "Reception", "Rehearsal Dinner")
  2. Invite guests to those events
  3. Set page privacy to show only to guests invited to specific events

When guests RSVP or log in, your site knows which events they're invited to and shows them the appropriate pages.

Tips for private pages

Don't hide everything. Public visitors should see at least some content, or your site looks broken.

Test it. View your site as different guest types to make sure privacy works correctly.

Communicate. Let guests know they might need to RSVP or log in to see everything.

Be strategic. Use privacy for actually sensitive or relevant content, not just because you can.

RSVP and authentication

Guests need to RSVP or enter a password to be recognized by your site. Once authenticated, your site knows who they are and which events they're invited to, then shows them their private pages.

Make sure guests understand they might need to sign in.

Making a page public again

Changed your mind? To make a private page public:

  1. Edit the page
  2. Find the privacy setting
  3. Change it to "Public" or "Everyone"
  4. Click Save changes

The page immediately becomes visible to all visitors.

Private pages vs. private sections

Private pages: The entire page is hidden from guests not invited to specific events.

Private sections: Individual sections on a page are hidden based on event invitations.

You can combine both. A public page might have private sections, or a private page is fully hidden from certain guests.

Navigation menus

When a page is private, your navigation menu adjusts automatically for each visitor. Guests who can't see a page won't see it in the menu. This keeps navigation clean and relevant.
