Managing guest groups

Learn how to organize guests into color-coded social circles like "College friends" or "Family" to help with filtering, seating planning, and visual organization.

Groups help you organize guests by social circles. Think "College friends," "Work colleagues," "Family," or "Yoga crew." They're a nice way to see how your guest list breaks down.

Assigning a guest to a group

  1. Go to Guests in your main navigation
  2. Click on the guest
  3. In the Details tab, find the Group dropdown
  4. Select a group from the list
  5. Click Save guest

If no groups exist yet, you'll need to create one first in the Groups section.

Removing a guest from a group

  1. Click on the guest
  2. In the Details tab, change the Group dropdown to No group
  3. Click Save guest

Bulk assigning groups

Need to add a bunch of guests to the same group? Select them with the checkboxes, click Edit guests, and pick the group. Done.

Why groups are useful

Visual organization. Each group gets its own color, so you can quickly scan your guest list and see who belongs where.

Filtering. Filter your guest list by group to see just one circle at a time.

Seating planning. Groups can help you think about table arrangements. People in the same group probably want to sit together.

Balance check. See how many guests are coming from each circle to make sure the mix feels right.

Tips

Keep it simple. You don't need a group for everything. A few main categories (family, friends, work) is usually plenty.

One group per guest. Each guest can only belong to one group, so pick the one that fits best.

Color coding helps. Groups come in different colors (indigo, blue, mint, gold, rose, lime, salmon, lavender). The colors show up on your guest list for quick visual reference.
