Changing subdomain

Learn how to change your WedSites subdomain URL that guests use to access your wedding website.

Your WedSites subdomain is the URL your guests use to visit your wedding website (like yournames.wedsites.com). You can change it if you need to.

How to change

  1. Go to Settings in your main navigation
  2. Find the Website URL section
  3. Edit the Subdomain field (max 63 characters)
  4. Your site will be available at [subdomain].wedsites.com
  5. Click Save changes

Things to know

  • Your old subdomain URL will stop working once you change it
  • The new subdomain takes effect immediately
  • Subdomain changes are not available for sandbox accounts
  • Share the new URL with anyone who had the old one

Tips

Choose something memorable. Your names, your wedding hashtag, or something guests can easily remember and type.

Keep it short. Shorter URLs are easier to share and type.

Update your stationery. If you've already printed the URL on save the dates or invitations, think twice before changing it.
