Editing a heading section

Create section titles and navigation menu items for your website, with options for custom calligraphy and styling.

Heading sections add titles to your website and create menu items in your navigation. They're perfect for dividing your site into different sections like "Our Story", "Schedule", or "Travel".

What you can do with headings

Add a section title to introduce a new part of your site.

Create a menu item so guests can jump straight to this section from your navigation.

Add custom calligraphy to replace the text with a styled image.

Customize the look with different fonts, colors, and spacing.

Adding a heading section

  1. Go to Site in your main navigation
  2. Click Add a new section
  3. Choose Heading from the list
  4. Fill in the fields (see below)
  5. Click Save changes

Fields you can edit

Heading: The title text that appears on your page. This is what guests will see.

Description: Optional text that appears under your heading. Use this for a subtitle or brief intro.

Menu label: The text that appears in your navigation menu. Usually the same as your heading, but you can make it shorter if needed.

Custom calligraphy: Upload an image to replace your heading text with custom lettering or a logo. Great for a personal touch!

Using custom calligraphy

If you want a fancy styled version of your heading instead of plain text:

  1. Click Add custom calligraphy
  2. Click Upload custom calligraphy and choose your image file
  3. Your image replaces the heading text

To remove it, click Delete custom calligraphy.

The image should be the heading text styled however you want it. SVG or PNG files work best.

Menu settings

Headings automatically appear in your navigation menu unless you turn that off.

To add it to the menu: Just make sure it has a menu label. It'll show up in your nav.

To remove it from the menu: Delete the menu label text. The heading stays on your page but won't be in the menu.

Common heading options

You can also customize:

Space above and below: Adjust padding to add breathing room around your heading.

Colors: Change text color and background color if you want your heading to stand out.

Page assignment: Choose which page this heading appears on.

Privacy: Make it private if you only want certain guests to see it.

These options are in the section editor along with the main fields.

Tips for headings

Keep menu labels short. Your nav menu gets crowded if labels are too long. Use 1-3 words if possible.

Use headings to organize. Add a heading before each major section of content. It makes your site easier to navigate.

Don't go overboard. Too many headings can make your site feel choppy. Use them for main sections, not every little thing.

Test your menu. After adding headings, check your nav menu to make sure it looks good and makes sense.

Editing an existing heading

  1. Go to Site in your main navigation
  2. Click on the heading section you want to edit
  3. Update any of the fields
  4. Click Save changes

Your changes show up on your site right away.

Deleting a heading

If you delete a heading section, it's removed from both your page and your navigation menu.

See our article on deleting a section for more details.
