Is my data secure?
Your wedding details and guest information are personal. Here's how WedSites keeps everything safe.
Short answer: Yes. WedSites uses SSL encryption (HTTPS) across all websites and your planning dashboard. Your guest list and personal data are private and only accessible to users you authorize.
SSL encryption on everything
Every WedSites page is served over HTTPS with SSL encryption. That includes your wedding website, your planning dashboard, and any data your guests submit through RSVPs or forms. This means information is encrypted as it travels between your guests' browsers and WedSites servers.
Only authorized access
Your planning dashboard, guest list, and wedding data are only accessible to users you've explicitly invited to your account. No one else can see your information. You control who has access and what they can do through user permissions.
Guests can't see your data
When guests visit your wedding website or submit an RSVP, they only see the public pages you've chosen to share. They don't have accounts and they can't access your dashboard, guest list, budget, or any other planning data. Their view is limited to exactly what you've published.
Optional password protection
On Standard and Pro plans, you can add password protection to your wedding website. This lets you set an access code that guests need to enter before they can view your site. It's a great way to keep your wedding details private and share them only with the people you choose.
Security best practices
WedSites follows security best practices to protect your data. This includes secure authentication, encrypted connections, and careful handling of sensitive information throughout the platform.
Tips
- If you want extra privacy for your website, enable password protection on a Standard or Pro plan.
- Review your user permissions regularly to make sure only the right people have access to your account.
- You can feel confident sharing your RSVP link widely since guests can only see and interact with the public pages you've set up.
