Removing guest from household

Learn how to unlink a guest from their household without deleting either the guest or the household, useful when guests move or household composition changes.

If a guest no longer belongs in a particular household, you can remove them without deleting the guest or the household.

How to remove a guest from a household

  1. Go to Guests in your main navigation
  2. Click on the guest
  3. Find the Household dropdown in the Details section
  4. Clear or change the household assignment
  5. Click Save guest

The guest stays on your list but is no longer part of that household.

What happens when you remove them

  • The guest loses access to the household's shared address and contact info
  • They'll no longer RSVP as part of that household group
  • The household still exists with its remaining guests
  • If the household becomes empty, you can delete it

Tips

Moving, not removing. If you want to move a guest to a different household, just select the new one from the dropdown instead of clearing it.

Check your household count. After removing guests, check if the household is empty. Empty households can be cleaned up using the delete empty households feature.
