Adding a wedding event

Learn how to create multiple events like ceremonies, receptions, and rehearsal dinners with details, dates, venues, and public or private guest list restrictions (Standard or Pro plan).

If your wedding has more than one event (like a ceremony, reception, rehearsal dinner, or brunch the next day), you can add each one so guests can RSVP to specific events.

Plan requirement: Standard or Pro plan

How to add an event

  1. Go to RSVP > Events
  2. Click Add event
  3. Fill in the event details
  4. Click Save event

Event details you can set

Name - What the event is called (like "Ceremony", "Reception", "Welcome dinner"). This is the only required field.

Date - When the event takes place.

Time - Start time for the event.

Venue - Where the event is held.

Address - The venue address.

Description - Any additional details guests should know about this event.

Public vs private events

Each event can be set as public or private:

  • Public event - "All wedding guests can RSVP to this event." Every guest on your list sees this event in the RSVP form.
  • Private event - "Only selected guests can RSVP to this event." You choose which specific guests are invited to this event.

For private events, you'll see a Guests tab where you can select which guests are included.

Tips

Keep it simple. You don't need to add every event. Only add the ones where you need separate headcounts or where the guest list differs.

Private events for smaller gatherings. Rehearsal dinners and welcome parties often have a smaller guest list. Make these private and select just the guests who are invited.

Order matters. Events appear in the RSVP form in the order you create them. Put the main ceremony/reception first.
