Understanding the website builder preview

See your wedding website as you build it with the live preview that updates automatically as you make changes.

The website builder includes a live preview that shows you exactly how your wedding website will look to your guests. This preview updates automatically whenever you add, edit, or remove content.

What you see in the preview

The preview displays your website inside the builder, showing:

  • All sections and pages you've created
  • Your design settings (colors, fonts, images)
  • The current page you're working on
  • How content will appear to visitors

Navigating pages in the preview

Above the preview, you'll see tabs for your pages:

  • Home - Your main homepage
  • Additional pages - Any other pages you've created (Our Story, Travel, etc.)

Click any tab to preview that page. If you've created multiple pages, you'll see a note that says Drag to reorder - click and drag tabs to change the order pages appear in your navigation menu.

Draft and private page indicators

Page tabs show the status of each page:

  • (draft) - Page exists but is not published
  • (private) - Page is published but requires a password or guest login

How the preview works

The preview shows your site as it currently exists, including:

  • Published changes - Automatically visible in the preview
  • Unpublished site - Preview works even if your site isn't published yet
  • Real-time updates - Changes appear immediately after saving

Preview vs. live site

The preview shows your site as you're building it, but remember:

  • The preview is only visible to you in the builder
  • Guests see your live site by visiting your wedding URL
  • Your site must be published for guests to see it

Tips

Use the preview to check your work. After making changes to a section, look at the preview to see how it appears before moving on.

Test different pages. Click through each page tab to make sure all your content looks correct.

The preview is your workspace. Don't worry about making mistakes - the preview lets you see changes before guests do.
