Configuring RSVP reminder emails

Learn how to send friendly reminder emails to guests who haven't responded by your RSVP deadline with customizable subject lines and messages (Standard or Pro plan).

If guests haven't responded by your deadline, you can send them a friendly reminder email. This helps improve your response rate without you having to chase people individually.

Plan requirement: Standard or Pro plan

Note: Reminder emails are not enabled by default. You need to turn them on and configure the settings.

How to enable reminder emails

  1. Go to RSVP > Form
  2. Click Edit emails
  3. Find the Send reminder emails toggle and turn it on
  4. Choose who should receive reminders from the Send reminder emails to dropdown:
    • All unconfirmed guests - Send to everyone who hasn't responded
    • Unconfirmed A-list guests - Only send to A-list guests who haven't responded
    • Unconfirmed B-list guests - Only send to B-list guests who haven't responded
  5. Set the RSVP deadline date - reminders will be sent to guests who haven't responded by this date
  6. Click Save changes

Customizing the reminder email

Once you enable reminders, you can customize the email content:

Subject - The email subject line. Default placeholder: "Friendly reminder to RSVP"

Message - The body of the email. Default placeholder: "Hi [firstname], [couple]'s RSVP deadline is approaching. They would love to know if you can make it :)"

Button - The text on the call-to-action button. Default placeholder: "RSVP here"

You can preview your reminder email by clicking Preview email.

Using placeholders

You can use placeholders in your subject and message:

  • [firstname] - Guest's first name
  • [lastname] - Guest's last name
  • [fullname] - Guest's full name
  • [household] - Household name
  • [guests] - All guest names in the household
  • [couple] - Your names as a couple
  • [rsvp] - Guest's RSVP status
  • [email] - Guest's email address
  • [phone] - Guest's phone number
  • [dietary] - Guest's dietary requirements

Using fallbacks: Add a default value for empty placeholders. For example, [dietary fallback="None"] shows "None" if no dietary requirements are set.

Who gets the reminder

Reminder emails are sent to guests who:
- Have an email address on file
- Haven't responded yet (unconfirmed status)
- Match your selected list (A-list, B-list, or all)

Guests who have already confirmed or declined won't receive reminders.

Tips

Set the deadline realistically. Pick a date that gives you enough time to finalize numbers with your vendors after responses come in.

Use the A-list/B-list option strategically. If you're doing tiered invitations, you can send reminders only to A-list guests first, then B-list guests later.

One reminder is usually enough. Most guests who haven't responded will do so after one reminder. If they still don't respond, a personal text or call is more effective.

Check your sender email. Make sure your sender email is verified so reminders get delivered properly.

Preview before the deadline. Click "Preview email" to see exactly what guests will receive.
