Why is my page not showing on my website?
Troubleshoot when a page you created isn't visible to guests on your live wedding website.
Short answer: For a page to appear on your website, three things must be true: the page must be published, its visibility must be set to public (or the guest must have access), and the page must be checked in your navigation menu under Site settings > Menu > Navigation links.
The three requirements for a visible page
1. The page must be published
A page set to draft won't appear on your live site at all.
- Go to Site > Builder
- Find the page in your pages list
- Make sure the page is published (not set to draft)
- If it shows "(draft)", click on the page and publish it
2. The page must be set to the right visibility
Even if published, a page may be hidden from certain guests based on its privacy setting.
- Public: Visible to everyone who visits your site
- All guests: Only visible to guests who have checked in or authenticated
- Specific events: Only visible to guests invited to certain events
If a guest can't see a page, check that the page visibility matches who you want to see it. For public visitors, the page should be set to Public.
3. The page must be added to the navigation menu
This is the most commonly missed step! Even if your page is published and public, it won't appear in your header navigation menu unless you explicitly add it.
- Go to Site > Builder
- Click Site settings
- Select the Menu tab
- Find the Navigation links section
- Look for your page in the list and check the box next to it
- Click Save changes
Your page will now appear in the navigation menu for guests to find.
Common scenarios
"I created a new page but it's not in the menu"
New pages are not always automatically added to your navigation menu. Go to Site settings > Menu > Navigation links and check the box next to your new page.
"My page was showing before but now it's gone"
Check all three requirements above. It's possible the page was accidentally unpublished, its visibility was changed, or it was unchecked in the navigation links.
"Some guests can see the page but others can't"
This is likely a visibility setting issue. If the page is set to All guests or Specific events, only guests who have authenticated and meet the criteria will see it. Guests without access won't see the page in the menu at all.
"The page works when I visit the URL directly but isn't in the menu"
This confirms the page is published and accessible, but it hasn't been added to the navigation menu. Go to Site settings > Menu > Navigation links and check the box for that page.
Quick checklist
Use this checklist when a page isn't showing:
- Is the site itself published?
- Is the individual page published (not draft)?
- Is the page visibility set correctly (public, all guests, or specific events)?
- Is the page checked in Site settings > Menu > Navigation links?
If all four are yes and the page still isn't showing, try clearing your browser cache or testing in an incognito window.
Tips
- After creating a new page, always visit Site settings > Menu to confirm it's checked in the navigation links
- Remember that guests can still access a page via direct URL even if it's not in the menu
- Preview your site after making changes to confirm the page appears as expected
- Test on both desktop and mobile to make sure the menu looks right
