Configuring guest details collection

Learn how to enable a shareable collection form where guests can submit their own contact information, addresses, and details before formal invitations go out (Standard or Pro plan).

Set up a form for guests to provide their own information like addresses, meal preferences, and more.

The collect details feature lets you gather contact information from your guests before you send formal invitations. Share a link or QR code, and guests fill out a simple form with their name, email, address, and more.

Plan requirement: Standard or Pro plan

Enabling the collection form

  1. Go to Guests > Collect details
  2. Click Form settings
  3. Toggle on Enable collection form
  4. The description says "Start collecting guest details by sharing a link with your guests. Please note that you will need to merge duplicate entries."
  5. Click Save changes

Choosing what to collect

Once enabled, you'll see options for which details to collect:

  • Full name - Always collected (can't be turned off)
  • Email address - On by default
  • Phone number - Off by default
  • Household address - On by default

Check or uncheck these based on what you need.

Setting the default list

New guests added through the collection form get assigned to either the A-list or B-list:

  • A-list - "Must invite" (default)
  • B-list - "Hope to invite"

Choose which list new guests should be added to.

Sharing the collection link

After enabling, you'll see:

  • Collection form link - A URL you can copy and share. The description says "Share this link with your guests to collect their details."
  • Copy link button to quickly copy the URL to your clipboard

Share this link via text, email, social media, or however you want to reach your guests.

A note about duplicates

When guests submit the form, new guest records are created in your system. If someone is already on your list and submits the form, you'll get a duplicate entry. That's ok! You can use the merge feature in your guest list to combine duplicates.

Tips

Share early. The sooner you start collecting details, the more prepared you'll be when it's time to send invitations.

Keep it simple. Only collect what you actually need. A shorter form gets more responses.

Merge duplicates. Check your guest list after collecting details and merge any duplicates that come in.
