How do plus ones RSVP?
Understand how guests with plus-ones can add their guest's information when they RSVP.
Plan requirement: Standard or Pro plan
Short answer: Guests with plus-one privileges can add their guest's name and details when they submit their RSVP.
How plus-one RSVP works
When a guest with a +1 fills out the RSVP:
1. They see their own name and information
2. They see an option to add a guest
3. They enter their plus-one's name
4. They provide details for the plus-one (meals, etc.)
5. Both are counted as attending
Setting up plus-ones
To allow a guest to bring someone:
1. Go to Guests and find the guest
2. Edit their profile
3. Enable "Allow this guest to bring another person"
4. Save
After they RSVP
Once they add their plus-one:
- The plus-one appears in your guest list
- They're counted in your attendance numbers
- You have their name and any responses they provided
Named vs unnamed plus-ones
Unnamed (guest adds during RSVP):
- Guest doesn't know who they're bringing yet
- They add the name when they RSVP
- More flexible but uncertain until they respond
Named (you add beforehand):
- You know who they're bringing
- Add them to the household in advance
- They appear together in the RSVP
Tips
- Plus-ones are typically in the same household for RSVP purposes
- Set questions to ask each guest to capture plus-one meals
- Review added plus-ones to ensure they're legitimate
- You can edit plus-one details after they're added
