How do households RSVP together?
Let one person respond on behalf of their entire household (family or couple).
Plan requirement: Standard or Pro plan
Short answer: When guests in a household RSVP, they see all household members and can respond for everyone at once.
How household RSVP works
When a guest from a household RSVPs:
1. They search for their name
2. They see all members of their household listed
3. They indicate attending/not attending for each person
4. They answer questions for each person (meals, dietary needs)
5. One submission covers the whole household
Example
The Smith household includes:
- John Smith
- Jane Smith
- Tommy Smith (child)
When John searches and finds himself:
- He sees all three names
- He marks John: Attending, Jane: Attending, Tommy: Attending
- He selects meals for each adult
- He submits once for all three
Setting up households for RSVP
- Go to Guests > Households
- Create households for families and couples
- Add guests to their households
- When they RSVP, they'll see household members together
What if someone RSVPs individually?
If household members have separate email invitations and RSVP separately:
- Each person's response is recorded individually
- Later responses may update earlier ones
- Check that all household members have responded
Tips
- Create households before sending invitations
- Make sure the "head of household" has the email address
- Test by RSVPing as a household yourself
- Questions can be set per-guest or per-household
- Couples often expect to RSVP together
