Using the sidebar and top bar

Navigate your wedding features with the sidebar menu and manage your account from the top bar.

The sidebar menu

The sidebar is the main navigation on the left side of your screen. It lists all the features available to you. Click any item to go to that section, and items with submenus expand to show more options.

Sidebar sections

Here's what you'll find in the sidebar:

Home takes you back to your dashboard.

Site is where you build and manage your wedding site.
- Builder, where you add and edit sections
- Themes, where you browse and apply designs
- Guestbook, where you view guest messages (shows up once you've added a guestbook section)

Guests is where you manage your guest list.
- All guests
- Households
- Groups
- Collect details

RSVP is where you set up and manage your online RSVPs.
- Form settings
- Events
- Questions
- Responses
- Summary

Ecards is where you design your digital stationery.
- Save the date
- Invitation

Sending is where you send ecards and emails to your guests.
- Compose
- Drafts
- Tracking

Planner is where your planning tools live.
- Overview
- Checklist
- Budget
- Vendors
- Payments
- Seating
- Timeline

Deals shows available vendor discounts and offers.

Settings is where you configure your account.
- General (dates, country, timezone, currency)
- Account (plan, subdomain, domain)
- Users (team members and permissions)
- Languages

Plan badges

If a feature requires a higher plan than yours, you'll see a badge next to it in the sidebar. For example, RSVP shows a "Standard" badge if you're on Basic, and Planner shows a "Pro" badge if you're on Standard or below. Click the badge to see what's included and how to upgrade.

Toggling the sidebar

Click the hamburger icon (three horizontal lines) in the top left corner to show or hide the sidebar. On mobile, the sidebar appears as a slide-out menu.

The top bar

The dark bar across the top of every page gives you quick access to account-level features.

Sidebar toggle (hamburger icon) shows or hides the sidebar.

WedSites logo clicks back to your dashboard.

Account switcher (launch icon) takes you to your weddings list if you have access to more than one wedding.

Search bar sits in the center. It shows your couple names as placeholder text. Click it to search for guests, households, groups, vendors, or tasks. Results appear as you type with autocomplete.

Notifications bell shows a count of unread notifications. Click to see recent RSVP responses, task reminders, and payment updates.

Your avatar opens the user menu.

User menu

Click your avatar in the top right to open the user menu:

  • User settings to update your profile
  • Light mode or Dark mode to switch your dashboard theme
  • Help desk for documentation and guides
  • Chat with us for live support
  • My weddings to see all your wedding accounts
  • Log out
