What happened to the Lite plan?

The Lite plan has been replaced by the new Basic plan and a free trial option.

Short answer: The Lite plan is no longer available for new sign-ups. The new Basic plan replaces it with more features and fewer limitations. We've also introduced a free trial so you can start designing your wedding website before committing to a paid plan.

Why the change?

We wanted to give every couple a better starting experience. The new Basic plan includes features that were previously only available on higher-tier plans, so you get more out of WedSites from day one. We've also added a free trial so you can explore the website builder and design your site at your own pace before paying anything.

Free trial

You can now sign up for a free trial and start designing your wedding website right away. The free trial gives you access to the website builder with all themes and design tools. You only need to upgrade to a paid plan when you're ready to publish and share your site with guests.

What's included in Basic?

Basic includes everything Lite had:

  • Wedding website with hosting (12 months)
  • Access to all customizable themes
  • Full color and font customization
  • Photo and video uploads
  • Mobile-responsive design
  • SSL security (HTTPS)
  • Site visitor analytics

Plus upgraded features that were not available on Lite:

  • 2 user accounts — invite your partner to help manage the site
  • Custom favicon — add a custom icon to your website's browser tab
  • Hide footer logo — remove the WedSites branding from the bottom of your website
  • Custom domain — connect your own domain name to your wedding website

The Basic plan is available for a one-time payment of $39.

I'm already on the Lite plan. What happens to me?

If you signed up for the Lite plan before it was discontinued, your plan remains active. You don't need to do anything. Your website will continue to work exactly as before.

Can I still upgrade?

Yes! You can upgrade from any plan to Standard or Pro at any time. You'll only pay the difference between your current plan and the new one. All your content and design work carries over.

Is the Basic plan a subscription?

No. Like all WedSites plans, Basic is a one-time payment. Pay once and you're set. No recurring charges, no surprise bills.
