How do I manually update RSVP status?

Record responses when guests RSVP by phone, text, or in person instead of through your website.

Plan requirement: Standard or Pro plan

Short answer: Open the guest's profile and manually change their RSVP status to Attending or Not Attending.

Updating RSVP status

  1. Go to Guests > All guests
  2. Click on the guest's name to open their profile
  3. Click the Questions tab
  4. Change the RSVP status dropdown (Attending, Not Attending, etc.)
  5. Update event attendance if applicable
  6. Click Save

Why manually update

You may need to update manually when:
- Elderly relatives can't use the website
- Someone tells you in person
- A guest calls or texts their response
- You need to correct an error
- Someone responds by mail

What to update

When entering a response manually:
- RSVP status (Attending/Not Attending)
- Response for each event (if multiple events)
- Meal choice (if you're collecting meals)
- Dietary restrictions
- Question responses

Keeping track

Consider adding a note to the guest profile:
- "RSVPed by phone on [date]"
- "Spoke with them at [event]"

This helps you remember why there's no online RSVP record.

Tips

  • Manual updates count in your attendance statistics
  • You can update responses at any time
  • If they later RSVP online, it may override your manual entry
  • Consider having one person handle all manual updates to avoid duplicates
