Bulk updating guests
Learn how to efficiently update multiple guests at once by selecting them and changing status, age, side, group, household, list, or tracking information in a single action.
When you need to make the same change to a bunch of guests at once, bulk editing saves you a ton of time. Select the guests, pick what to change, and done.
How to bulk update
- Go to Guests in your main navigation
- Check the boxes next to the guests you want to update (or use the checkbox in the header to select all visible guests)
- Click Edit guests in the bulk action bar that appears
- Make your changes
- Save
You'll see a confirmation message telling you how many guests were updated.
What you can bulk update
When you select multiple guests, you can change:
- Status - Set all selected guests to Confirmed, Unconfirmed, Declined, or Not invited
- Age - Set all to Adult, Child, or Infant
- Side - Assign all to Both sides, Partner 1's side, or Partner 2's side
- Group - Move all selected guests to a specific group
- Household - Move all selected guests to the same household
- List - Assign all to A-list or B-list
- Save the date sent - Mark as sent with a date
- Invitation sent - Mark as sent with a date
- Thank you sent - Mark as sent with a date
Bulk deleting guests
Need to remove several guests? Select them with the checkboxes and click Delete guests. You'll be asked to confirm before anything is deleted.
You'll see a message confirming how many guests were removed.
Selecting guests
Select individual guests by clicking their checkboxes.
Select all visible guests by clicking the checkbox in the table header. This selects everyone currently shown on the page (based on your current filter).
Tip: Apply a filter first, then select all. This way you can bulk update just the guests that match certain criteria.
Other bulk actions
Besides editing and deleting, the bulk action bar also gives you:
- Merge guests - Combine duplicate entries (requires at least 2 guests selected)
- Export - Download selected guests as CSV
- Send email - Send an email to selected guests (if you have the stationery feature)
Tips
Filter first, then bulk edit. Want to mark all A-list guests as Unconfirmed? Filter by A-list, select all, then change the status. Way faster than doing it one by one.
Be careful with bulk delete. There's no undo. Double-check your selection before confirming.
Use it for tracking too. Bulk update is great for marking "Save the date sent" for a batch of guests after you've mailed out physical cards.
