How do I set a capacity limit?

Limit the number of guests who can RSVP yes to an event when you have venue capacity constraints.

Plan requirement: Standard or Pro plan

Short answer: Set a capacity limit on your event to automatically stop accepting RSVPs when the limit is reached.

Setting event capacity

  1. Go to RSVP > Events
  2. Click on the event
  3. Find the capacity or limit setting
  4. Enter your maximum number of guests
  5. Click Save

How capacity limits work

Once the limit is reached:
- Guests can no longer RSVP "yes" to that event
- They may see a message that the event is full
- You can enable a waitlist for overflow

Using a waitlist

If you enable a waitlist:
- Guests beyond capacity are added to a waitlist
- If spots open up, you can invite waitlist guests
- Waitlisted guests are notified they're on the list

Per-event vs overall capacity

You can set different capacities for different events:
- Ceremony: 150 guests
- Reception: 100 guests
- Rehearsal dinner: 30 guests

Tips

  • Set capacity slightly below venue max for flexibility
  • Consider plus-ones when setting limits
  • Monitor approaching capacity to plan accordingly
  • You can adjust capacity limits at any time
  • Have a plan for telling guests an event is full
