Restricting questions by age group

Learn how to show specific RSVP questions only to adults, children, or infants so you can ask age-appropriate questions like separate meal choices (Standard or Pro plan).

Some questions only make sense for certain age groups. A meal preference question might not apply to infants, for example. You can restrict questions so they only show up for specific age categories.

Plan requirement: Standard or Pro plan

How to restrict by age

  1. Go to your RSVP questions
  2. Edit the question you want to restrict
  3. Find the age restriction settings
  4. Choose which age groups should see this question:
    • Adults - Show to adult guests
    • Children - Show to child guests
    • Infants - Show to infant guests
  5. Save your changes

By default, all age groups see every question.

When to use this

Meal choices. Adults might get a choice of beef, fish, or vegetarian, while children get a simpler kids' menu. Create separate questions for each.

Activity preferences. If you're planning adult-only activities, restrict those questions to adults.

Allergies for kids. You might want a specific allergy question just for children.

Tips

Set age categories first. This feature relies on guests having the right age category set. Make sure you've marked children and infants in your guest list.

Test your form. Preview your RSVP form to make sure the right questions appear for different age groups.
