Configuring event restrictions

Learn how to control which guests see which events by setting events as public (everyone invited) or private (hand-picked guest list) with event-specific plus-one settings (Standard or Pro plan).

Not every guest is invited to every event. Event restrictions let you control who sees which events in the RSVP form.

Plan requirement: Standard or Pro plan

Public vs private events

When editing an event, you can choose:

  • Public event - "All wedding guests can RSVP to this event." Every guest sees this event.
  • Private event - "Only selected guests can RSVP to this event." You hand-pick who's invited.

Setting up a private event

  1. Go to the event
  2. Toggle to Private event
  3. Go to the Guests tab
  4. Select the guests who should be invited to this event
  5. Click Save event

Only selected guests will see this event in their RSVP form.

Event-specific plus-ones and children

You can also configure plus-ones and children settings per event, giving you fine-grained control over who can attend each event.

Tips

Ceremony is usually public. Most couples make the ceremony open to all guests and restrict smaller events like rehearsal dinners.

Check your guest list. After setting up a private event, double-check that all the right people are included.
