Scheduling email send
Learn how to send your email drafts to selected recipients and what happens after you hit send.
When your draft is ready and you've previewed it, it's time to send. You can send immediately to all your selected recipients.
Plan requirement: Standard or Pro plan
How to send
- Make sure your draft is complete (subject, message, recipients)
- Go to the draft review page
- Review everything one more time
- Click Send now
The email is queued and sent to all your selected recipients. This might take a few minutes depending on how many guests you're sending to.
Before you send
The system checks a few things:
- Subject is required. You can't send an email without a subject line.
- Email credits. Make sure you have enough email credits for all your recipients.
- Valid emails. Guests without email addresses or with invalid emails won't receive the message.
What happens after sending
- The draft becomes a "Sent" message
- Guest tracking fields update automatically (e.g., save_the_date_sent_at, invitation_sent_at)
- Guest statuses may update (e.g., shortlisted guests become unconfirmed when receiving an invitation)
- Email delivery tracking begins
You're redirected to the tracking overview where you can monitor delivery, opens, and clicks.
Ecards are always current
If your email includes a link to an ecard (save the date or invitation), guests will see the current version of that ecard when they click the link, not the version from when you sent the email.
This means you can fix typos or update details after sending, and guests will see the corrected version. But be mindful that any changes you make to your ecard will be visible to all guests who view it, whether they received the email yesterday or click the link tomorrow.
Tips
Double-check the recipient list. Make sure you're sending to the right people. You can't unsend an email.
Send in batches if needed. You don't have to send to everyone at once. Create multiple drafts for different groups.
Pick the right time. Emails sent during business hours tend to get opened more than those sent late at night.
