How do I add children to my guest list?
Add children to your guest list and categorize them by age for meal planning and seating arrangements.
Plan requirement: Standard or Pro plan
Short answer: Add children as guests and set their age category (child, infant, etc.) in their guest details.
Adding a child guest
- Go to Guests in your dashboard
- Click Add guest
- Enter the child's name
- Add them to their family's household
- Set their age category (child, infant, teen, etc.)
- Click Save
Setting age categories
Age categories help you:
- Track how many children vs adults are attending
- Plan seating (high chairs, kids' table)
- Coordinate with caterers on meal portions
- Create age-appropriate activities
Age category options
Depending on your setup, you may have:
- Adult - Default category
- Teen - Teenagers
- Child - Young children
- Infant - Babies who don't need a seat
Including children in households
Children should be added to their parents' household so:
- The family receives one invitation
- Parents can RSVP for their children
- Seating can keep families together
Tips
- Caterers often need child counts for meal pricing
- Decide early if your wedding is adults-only or family-friendly
- You can filter guests by age category to see counts
- Consider children when planning your timeline (earlier dinner, etc.)
- Some couples create a separate "children's menu" option
