Household settings
Learn how to customize your household list display including column visibility and default country settings.
Control which columns appear in your household list to match what information you're working with, and set a default country to save time when adding households.
How to access settings
- Go to Guests > Households
- Click Household settings at the top
- Check or uncheck the columns you want
- Click Save changes
Column visibility
Choose which columns appear in your household list:
Basic details
- Household - Always visible (can't be turned off)
- Country - Country with flag icon (on by default)
- Address - Full mailing address (off by default)
- Gift received - Gift tracking (off by default)
Guests column
You can choose how guests are displayed in the household list:
- Icon - Shows guest photos or initials as small icons
- First name - Shows guest first names as text
- Full name - Shows guest full names as text
Select your preferred format from the Guests dropdown.
Guest counts
- Adults - Number of adults (on by default)
- Children - Number of children (on by default)
- Infants - Number of infants (on by default)
Default country
You can set a default country that auto-selects for new households. This saves time if most of your guests are in the same country.
- Find the Default country dropdown in household settings
- Select a country from the list
- The description says "Automatically select this country for new households."
When you create a new household, the country field will automatically be set to your default selection. You can still change it for individual households.
Tips
Show what you need. Working on mailings? Turn on Address and Country. Tracking gifts? Turn on Gift received.
Guest display format matters. The icon format is nice for a visual overview. The name formats are better for scanning details.
Default country saves clicks. If most of your guests are in the same country, set it as the default so you don't have to pick it every time you add a household.
Turn off guest counts when not needed. If you're just working on addresses, hide the count columns to keep your view cleaner.
Use icons for quick identification. The icon view with guest photos or initials helps you quickly identify households visually.
