Using search, notifications, and dark mode

Find guests and tasks quickly, stay updated with notifications, and switch between light and dark themes.

Search bar

The search bar is in the center of the top bar. It shows your couple names as placeholder text when inactive.

To search, click the search bar and start typing. It searches across:
- Guests
- Households
- Groups
- Vendors
- Tasks

Results appear as you type with autocomplete suggestions. Click any result to go straight to that guest profile, vendor entry, or task.

Notifications

The bell icon in the top bar shows your unread notification count. Click it to open the notifications dropdown.

What you'll see

Notifications include:
- RSVP updates when guests confirm, decline, or update their details
- Task reminders when tasks are due or overdue
- Payment notifications when payments are due (account owners only)

Each notification shows the guest or item name, what happened, and when.

Managing notifications

Click Settings in the notification dropdown to configure which types of notifications you receive. You can turn RSVP, task, and payment notifications on or off individually.

Click See all to view your full notification history.

Notifications are marked as read when you open the dropdown.

Dark mode and light mode

You can switch between a dark and light theme for your planning dashboard.

  1. Click your avatar in the top right corner of the top bar
  2. Select Dark mode or Light mode

This is a per-user setting, so it won't affect your partner or team members. It also only applies to your planning dashboard. Your wedding website that guests see is not affected.
