Do guests need to create an account?

Worried your guests will need to sign up for something just to see your wedding website? Don't be. It's designed to be effortless for them.

Short answer: No. Guests simply visit your wedding website using the link you share. No sign-up, no login, no app download required.

How guests access your site

Your wedding website is a regular webpage that anyone can visit. All your guests need is the link. You can share it however you like, whether that's in a text message, on a printed invitation, in an email, or on social media.

Here's how it works:

  • Via URL or custom domain. Guests go straight to your site by visiting your WedSites link (like yournames.wedsites.com) or your custom domain if you've set one up.
  • Via email invitations. If you send digital invitations through WedSites, guests receive an email with a direct link to your site and RSVP.
  • No accounts, no passwords. There's nothing for your guests to remember or manage. They just click and they're there.

How RSVP works without accounts

When guests are ready to RSVP, they simply look up their name on your RSVP page. There's no login involved. They find their name, respond to your events, answer any questions you've set up, and submit. That's it.

This is especially helpful for older relatives or anyone who isn't super tech-savvy. There are zero barriers between your guests and your wedding details.

Tips

  • Share your website link early and often so guests know where to find all the details.
  • If you've set up a custom domain, use that in your printed materials for a polished, personal touch.
  • Test the guest experience yourself by visiting your published site in a private browser window.
