How do I translate my RSVP form?
Create RSVP forms in multiple languages for guests who speak different languages.
Plan requirement: Pro plan
Short answer: Enable additional languages in your settings, then translate RSVP text and questions for each language.
Enabling multiple languages
- Go to Settings > Languages
- Enable the additional languages you need
- Save your settings
Translating RSVP content
- Go to RSVP > Form
- Use the language dropdown to switch to the language you want to translate
- Edit the form text in that language:
- Welcome message
- Instructions
- Button text
- Confirmation message
- Save for each language
Translating questions
For custom questions:
1. Go to RSVP > Questions
2. Edit each question
3. Add translations for each language
4. Translate answer options (for multiple choice)
5. Save
How guests see the right language
Guests see the RSVP in their language when:
- They have a preferred language set in their profile
- They click a link from a language-specific invitation
- They select their language on the website
- They open an RSVP link with the ?lang= parameter (e.g., yourwedding.wedsites.com/rsvp?lang=fr)
Note: When a guest opens a link with ?lang=, their preferred language is automatically updated to that language.
Tips
- Test the RSVP in each language
- Make sure all text is translated, not just some
- Consider cultural differences in wording
- Have a native speaker review translations
- Questions and responses should match the language
- When testing, open personalized RSVP links in a private/incognito window so the guest's preferred language applies (your logged-in session overrides it)
