How do I create a save the date ecard?

Create a digital save the date to announce your wedding date and let guests know an invitation is coming.

Plan requirement: Standard or Pro plan

Short answer: Go to Ecards in your dashboard, select Save the Date, choose a design, and customize it with your details.

Creating your save the date

  1. Go to Ecards > Save the date
  2. Click Template to choose a design
  3. The ecard editor shows your current design
  4. Click Ecard settings to add your names and wedding date
  5. Add a photo if the design supports it
  6. Click Save

What to include

Your save the date should have:
- Both of your names
- The wedding date
- City or general location (not full address yet)
- A note that invitation will follow
- Optional: engagement photo

Customizing your design

Depending on the template, you can change:
- Background colors
- Text colors and fonts
- Your photo
- Layout elements
- Custom stationery image

Preview before sending

Always preview your ecard:
1. Click View card to open the live preview
2. Check how it looks on desktop and mobile
3. Verify all text is correct
4. Test any links
5. Send a test to yourself before sending to guests

Tips

  • Send save the dates 6-8 months before your wedding
  • Keep the design consistent with your wedding style
  • Include a link to your wedding website
  • You don't need to include the full venue address yet
  • Save the dates don't require an RSVP
