Plan requirement: Pro plan

How to access settings

  1. Go to Planner > Timeline
  2. Click Settings
  3. Adjust your preferences
  4. Click Save changes

Column visibility

Choose which columns appear in your timeline:

  • Activity - The description of what's happening at each time
  • Vendor - Which vendor is responsible for the activity
  • Other - Additional notes or details about the activity

Toggle each column on or off based on what information you need to see.

Vendor columns

You can select specific vendors to display as separate columns in your timeline. This creates dedicated columns for key vendors, making it easy to see at a glance which vendors are involved in each part of your day.

How it works:

  1. In Timeline settings, you'll see a list of all your vendors
  2. Check the box next to each vendor you want to appear as a dedicated column
  3. Vendors with the checkbox enabled will appear as their own columns in your timeline

This is particularly useful for key vendors like your photographer, videographer, band, DJ, or florist. Instead of seeing vendor names in a single "Vendor" column, you'll see separate columns for each selected vendor.

For example, if you enable columns for "Photographer" and "Band," your timeline will show when each of these vendors needs to be where, in their own columns.

Grouping options

Group by vendor - When enabled, activities are organized by the vendor responsible for them. This gives you a vendor-focused view of your timeline, grouping all activities by vendor rather than by time.

This is especially useful when you need to share the timeline with individual vendors—they can quickly see all their responsibilities in one place.

Time format

Choose how times are displayed throughout your timeline:

  • 12-hour format - Shows times like "3:00 PM" (default)
  • 24-hour format (military time) - Shows times like "15:00"

The format you choose applies to all times in your timeline view, print view, and exports.

Tips

Show columns you're actively working with. If you're finalizing vendor schedules, show the Vendor column. If you're adding extra details, show the Other column for notes.

Use vendor columns for coordination. Showing your photographer and videographer as separate columns makes it easy to coordinate their schedules and avoid conflicts.

Group by vendor for vendor meetings. This view is perfect when you're sharing the timeline with individual vendors. They can quickly see all their responsibilities without scrolling through time-based entries.

Military time for clarity. If you're working with a venue or vendors who prefer 24-hour format, switch to military time to avoid AM/PM confusion.

Start minimal, add as needed. Begin with just Activity and Time visible. As your planning progresses, add Vendor and Other columns when you need them.
