Adding multiple guests at once
Discover how to use spreadsheet mode to quickly add multiple guests at once by typing names directly into rows that save automatically.
Got a long list of people to add? The spreadsheet view lets you add a bunch of guests quickly without opening a form for each one.
Using the spreadsheet view
- Go to Guests in your main navigation
- Switch to Spreadsheet mode (you'll see it next to List at the top)
- Start typing names directly into the rows
- Fill in as many columns as you like (first name, last name, email, household, list, RSVP status, age, side, group)
- Each row saves automatically when you move to the next one
Adding more rows
Need more space? At the bottom of the spreadsheet you'll see an Add link with a number field. Type how many rows you want (up to 1000) and click to add them. The default is 10 rows at a time.
Spreadsheet columns
The spreadsheet gives you quick access to the most common fields:
- First name (required)
- Last name
- Household
- List (A-list or B-list)
- RSVP (status)
- Age (Adult, Child, Infant)
- Side
- Group
For more detailed fields like phone, dietary requirements, notes, or alternate spelling, you'll need to edit each guest individually in the regular list view.
Importing from a CSV file
If you already have your guest list in a spreadsheet app (like Excel or Google Sheets), you can import them all at once using a CSV file. Check out our importing guests article for the full walkthrough.
Tips
Spreadsheet mode is great for speed. If you just need to get names down fast, this is the way to go.
Switch back to list view for details. The spreadsheet covers the basics, but for things like photos, notes, and dietary info, the list view gives you the full form.
You can always go back and forth. Switch between List and Spreadsheet views whenever you want. Your data is the same either way.
