Using full screen mode
Maximize your website preview to see more of your site while you build and edit content.
Full screen mode hides the sidebar and expands your website preview to fill the entire screen, giving you more space to see how your site looks while you work.
Entering full screen mode
- In the website builder, find the Full screen button in the toolbar at the top right
- Click Full screen
The sidebar closes and your preview expands to fill the screen.
What full screen mode shows
When you enter full screen:
- The preview fills your entire browser window
- The sidebar with editing tools is hidden
- Page tabs remain visible at the top
- You can still navigate between pages
Exiting full screen mode
You have two options to exit:
Option 1: Click the exit button
An Exit full screen button appears inside the preview. Click it to return to normal view.
Option 2: Press ESC
Press the ESC key on your keyboard to exit full screen mode.
When to use full screen mode
Full screen mode is helpful when you want to:
- See more of your website layout at once
- Focus on how your design looks without distractions
- Check spacing and alignment across a full page
- Review your site with minimal UI elements
- Present your website to others
Editing in full screen mode
You can't edit sections while in full screen mode. To make changes:
- Exit full screen mode
- Click a section to edit it
- Make your changes
- Enter full screen again to see the result
Tips
Use full screen to check your overall design. After adding several sections, enter full screen mode to see how everything flows together.
Combine with mobile preview. You can use full screen mode while viewing the mobile version of your site.
Quick exit with ESC. If you need to make a quick edit, press ESC to exit immediately.
