Reordering pages

Rearrange the order of pages in your navigation menu to organize them logically for your guests.

The order of your pages determines how they appear in your navigation menu. You can rearrange them to put the most important pages first or organize them however makes sense!

Why reorder pages

Put important pages first. Home, then Events, then Travel makes more sense than a random order.

Create logical flow. Tell your story in the order you want guests to experience it.

Match guest priorities. RSVP is important! Put it where guests will see it.

Aesthetic preferences. Sometimes the menu just looks better in a certain order.

How to reorder pages

  1. Go to Site in your main navigation
  2. Find the Pages section or list
  3. Look for drag handles (often icons with horizontal lines) next to each page
  4. Click and drag pages up or down
  5. Drop them in the order you want
  6. Changes usually save automatically (or click Save order if prompted)

The navigation menu updates immediately!

Tips for ordering pages

Home page first. This is usually your main landing page.

Put RSVP early. If you need responses, make it easy to find.

Group related pages. Events, Travel, and Hotels might go together.

Think like a guest. What would they want to find first?

Keep it simple. Don't overthink it. Any logical order works!

Mobile navigation

On phones, navigation menus often collapse into a hamburger menu. The order still matters, but it's less visible. Test on mobile to see how your menu works!

Alphabetical vs. intentional

You can order pages alphabetically if you want, but usually an intentional order based on importance or flow works better for guests.

Reordering vs. renaming

If you're reordering to put a page "first", make sure it actually needs to be first. Sometimes renaming a page makes more sense than moving it around!

Home page position

Your home page usually stays first. Even if you reorder other pages, home typically anchors the navigation. Check your theme to see if you can move it!

Changing order multiple times

You can reorder as many times as you want! If your first organization doesn't feel right, change it. Your guests only see the final result.

Custom navigation

Some themes let you customize navigation beyond simple page ordering. You might be able to:
- Create dropdown menus
- Group pages under headings
- Add custom links
- Hide pages from navigation while keeping them accessible

Check your theme's navigation settings for advanced options!

After reordering

Check your site. View it to make sure the menu looks how you expected.

Test on mobile. Navigation works differently on phones.

Ask for feedback. Have someone else look at your menu to see if the order makes sense.

Reordering sections vs. pages

Reordering pages: Changes navigation menu order.

Reordering sections: Changes content order within a page.

They're separate actions! Don't confuse the two.

Reordering pages is quick and easy, and helps you create the best navigation experience for your guests!
