What you can do with gift registry sections

Link to your registries at different stores.

Add registry logos to show which stores you're registered at.

Include descriptions to explain your registry choices.

Create a no-registry message if you prefer experiences or donations instead.

Adding a gift registry section

  1. Go to Site in your main navigation
  2. Click Add a new section
  3. Choose Gift registry from the list
  4. Fill in the registry details
  5. Click Save changes

Fields you can edit

Registry: The name of the store or registry. Like "Zola", "Target", "Amazon", "Crate & Barrel".

Description: Optional text about this registry. Why you chose it, what kinds of items are on it, or any notes for guests.

Link to online registry: The URL where guests can view and shop your registry.

Link text: What the button says. Default is "View registry" but you could change it to "Shop our registry" or "See our wishlist".

Logo: Upload the store's logo or an image representing this registry.

Creating your registry list

Add one gift registry section per store. If you're registered at Target, Amazon, and Zola, that's three gift registry sections.

List your main registry first. Put your preferred or most complete registry at the top.

Keep it simple. Most couples have 1-3 registries. More than that can be overwhelming for guests.

Using logos

Registry logos help guests quickly see where you're registered. You can:

  1. Click Upload logo
  2. Choose an image file (360px width recommended)
  3. The logo displays with your registry link

Most stores have logos you can download from their websites. Or create your own image if you're using a less traditional registry.

To change or remove a logo, click Delete logo.

Writing descriptions

Descriptions are optional but can be helpful:

"Our main registry with home essentials"

"Small items and stocking stuffers"

"Experience fund for our honeymoon"

"Contributions to our home renovation fund"

Keep them short. Guests just need to know what to expect.

Alternative registries

Not doing traditional registries? You can still use these sections:

Honeymoon fund: Link to a cash fund or honeymoon registry.

Charity donations: Link to a charity you'd like guests to donate to.

Experience gifts: Link to an experience registry for adventures.

No registry message: Use the description to explain you don't have a traditional registry but are grateful for guests' presence.

Tips for gift registry sections

Make links clear. The button should clearly say it goes to your registry.

Test your links. Click them yourself to make sure they go to the right place.

Keep them updated. If you close a registry or add a new one, update your site.

Be gracious. Remember gifts are optional. Frame your registry as "if you'd like to celebrate with a gift" not "you must buy from here".

Registry etiquette

Don't overthink the wording. Simple and direct is best.

Include options. Different price points on your registries help guests find something in their budget.

Update as items are purchased. Keep your registries fresh so guests have current options.

Send thank you notes! After the wedding, thank everyone who gave you gifts.

Editing an existing gift registry section

  1. Go to Site in your main navigation
  2. Click on the gift registry section you want to edit
  3. Update any fields
  4. Click Save changes

Changes appear on your site right away.

Organizing multiple registries

If you have several registries:

Use a heading. Add a heading section like "Our Registries" before your gift registry sections.

Group them together. Keep all gift registry sections in the same area of your site.

Create a dedicated page. If you have lots to say about gifts, make a "Registry" page.

No registry at all?

If you're not doing registries:

Add a paragraph section instead, explaining your preferences. Something like "Your presence is the best gift! If you'd like to give something, we'd love contributions to our honeymoon fund."

Include a link if you have a cash fund or specific preference.

Be clear and kind. Let guests know gifts aren't expected but you appreciate their thoughtfulness.

Customizing gift registry sections

You can also customize:

Space above and below: Adjust padding around each registry.

Colors: Change colors for the section.

Privacy: Make registries visible to everyone or just certain guests.

These options are in the section editor.

Gift registry sections make it super easy for guests to find your wish lists. No one has to ask where you're registered, it's right there on your site!
