Fields you can edit
Quote: The text of your quote or message. This is what guests will see displayed on your site.
That's it! Quote sections are simple. Just enter your text and you're done.
How quotes look
Quotes usually appear centered and styled differently from regular paragraphs. The exact look depends on your theme, but they're designed to stand out as special text.
Some themes might show quotes in italics, larger text, or with decorative elements around them.
What to put in a quote section
Meaningful quotes: Lines from songs, poems, books, or movies that are special to you.
Welcome messages: Something like "Welcome to our wedding website! We're so excited to celebrate with you."
Bible verses or poetry: If you have a verse or poem that's meaningful to your relationship.
Thank you messages: Express gratitude to your guests for being part of your day.
Funny quotes: If humor fits your vibe, a fun quote can set the tone.
Tips for using quotes
Keep it short. Quotes work best when they're brief and impactful. A few sentences max.
Make it meaningful. Pick something that actually resonates with you, not just something that sounds nice.
Consider placement. Quotes often work well near the top of your page as a welcome, or between major sections as a breather.
Don't overuse them. One or two quote sections on your site is plenty. Too many and they lose impact.
Editing an existing quote
- Go to Site in your main navigation
- Click on the quote section you want to edit
- Update the quote text
- Click Save changes
Your changes appear on your site right away.
Quote vs paragraph
Wondering whether to use a quote or paragraph section?
Use quote for:
- Short, impactful text
- Welcome messages
- Actual quotes from other sources
- Text you want styled specially
Use paragraph for:
- Longer content
- Detailed information
- Your own writing (not quotes)
- Text that needs formatting like bold or links
Customizing the look
Like other sections, you can customize:
Space above and below: Adjust padding around your quote.
Colors: Change text and background colors.
Page assignment: Choose which page the quote appears on.
Privacy: Make it visible to everyone or just certain guests.
These options are available in the section editor.
Common uses
Home page welcome: Greet guests when they first visit your site.
Above your story: Set the tone before sharing how you met.
Between major sections: Use quotes as dividers to break up content.
Thank you message: Express appreciation at the end of your site.
Quote sections are simple but effective. They add personality and warmth to your wedding website!
